Yvonne Esquer has been a movement educator since 1983, and brings her years of experience and education in fitness and rehabilitation fields to South Bay Sports and Preventive Medicine.

Yvonne began her Pilates training in Los Angeles while obtaining a degree in Dance. Her extensive studies continued in therapeutic dance movement. She danced with a ballet company and participated in Dance/Arts educational programs for children in the Los Angeles area.

She expanded her experience and knowledge base in Sonoma County working alongside Masters teachers of Pilates, Gyrotonic® and Physical Therapy. She developed and introduced Pilates-based classes specific for ballet and ice dancers.

Now in the south bay for 7 years, Yvonne continues her education at San Jose State University, maintaining President’s scholar status in Kinesiology. Formerly of the O’Connor Sports Medicine team, she currently assists in rehabilitation of athletes, dancers and individuals of varied fitness levels in the Pilates Dance Medicine Department within South Bay Sports.
